This is your time to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday with savings of up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the best robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
Its design is superior to the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand which other robots couldn't do. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, however we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to know if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. robot vacuum cleaners is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can begin and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place, emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't necessary for most people but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that most other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It can't navigate stairs as well as some competitors, either and doesn't come with a dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning-related options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the premium price cost.
If you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robotic there are many other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance, is cheaper and offers a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as mopping functions for a low cost. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to place the dock near an electrical outlet and enough space for it to move around but.
The G30 is a compact device that measures 2.85 inches in height, so it will be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses an integrated map to make an image of the immovable objects in its path. It remembers the items it has cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has a few flaws. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on unfinished flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with a set of boundaries to ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30, on the other hand is more affordable and much easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material like cereal.
